- A minimum of three to five years of experience in philanthropic fundraising, including proven success in cultivating and securing philanthropic gifts from individuals at the major gift or annual fund level. Exceptional candidates having private sector experience will also be considered.

- Strong presentation skills, along with the ability to share a passion for the mission of Queens College.

- Strong interpersonal and listening skills, excellent written and oral communication, and flexibility to work in an ever changing environment.

- Experience with capital campaign fundraising and solicitations would be beneficial.

- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with coworkers, program leaders, donors, prospects, and high net-worth individuals.

- Ability to work well with a diverse constituency is desirable.

- Experience in using a donor and contact management system; knowledge of Raiser's Edge

- Be self-motivated, work well under pressure and be able to handle several projects at one time.

- Experience with a centralized, higher education, fundraising program would be beneficial.

- A Bachelors degree is required.

- A valid drivers license required.
