Founded over 140 years ago, the Jewish Boards history is one of providing support and care for those in need in all of New York Citys diverse communities, serving people and families of all religions, ethnicities, ages and cultural backgrounds. Today, the Jewish Board continues to extend a helping hand to those most in need of care, support, and a clear vision of a path forward that involves hope, recovery, and resilience.

With over 75 locations around New York City and in Westchester, The Jewish Boards programs and services provide an unmatched reach and impact in behavioral health, childrens services, trauma, and recovery. The depth and breadth of these programs aim to promote well-being and self-sufficiency for individuals and families.

The Adult & Family Residential Services program, with a budget of over $40M, provides supportive housing in the form of both community residences and scatter-site housing for over sixteen hundred adults living with mental illness. These housing options provide adults with on-site access to a network of professionals to help them stay healthy and cope with the challenges they face, while helping them to live as independently as possible. Additionally, the Jewish Board operates four domestic violence shelters that serve women and children with emergency and transitional housing. Currently, the Agency is embarking on its first low income/supportive housing project.

The Jewish Board has a budget of over $250M and a staff of approximately 3,000. To learn more, please visit jewishboard.org.
