The mission of Genesis Philanthropy Group (GPG) is to develop and enhance Jewish identity among Russian-speaking Jews worldwide, with a particular emphasis on the former Soviet Union, North America, and Israel, where up to three million Russian-speaking Jews reside.

GPG is committed to supporting and launching projects, programming, and institutions that are focused on ensuring that Jewish culture, heritage, and values are preserved in Russian-speaking Jewish communities across the globe. Jewish identity and continuity has suffered dramatic lapses in the Russian-speaking communities of the former Soviet Union. The legacy of a totalitarian past has left vast numbers of Russian-speaking Jews profoundly disengaged from their Jewish heritage. Genesis values a universal pluralistic vision of the global Jewish community and seeks to engage Russian-speaking Jews in Jewish tradition, culture and values to the benefit of their communities, and to the benefit of the entire Jewish people.

Genesis Philanthropy Group (GPG) is a non-profit association registered in the State of Israel. GPG has offices and dedicated staff in 3 regions of the world: Israel, the FSU, and North America. Each regional team develops its own portfolio of grants and initiatives in order to further GPG's mission. Funding is strictly limited to projects that advance their mission of fostering Jewish identity among Russian-speaking Jews. GPG pursues a proactive grant-making policy, limiting consideration to grant proposals that have been submitted by invitation only.

GPG has experienced extraordinarily rapid growth during its first three years. They have already made a series of significant grants in Russia and Israel. In the US, they recently announced three major, innovative grants to the Wexner Foundation, Brandeis University and the Foundation for Jewish Camp.

GPG has assembled a group of staff, representatives and advisors who are passionate about the GPG mission and who bring a range of experience, knowledge and expertise. Stan Polovets, a business associate of the founders, serves as the CEO of GPG.
