between two cities in many different categories. Like many similar sites,
here you can calculate what a certain salary in one city is comparable to in
another city. Unlike other such sites, this also includes comparisons in tax
rates, employment rates, crime rates, weather, pollution, utility rates, and
more. This is an invaluable site for people considering relocation.

This calculator compares the cost of living between U.S. cities. Select the
city you're in and the city you're moving to. Enter your present income and
click "Refresh listing." The income required to maintain your current
standard of living will appear in the box, along with the percentage
difference between the two cities. The calculation takes into account dozens
of items in six broad categories -- groceries, housing, utilities,
transportation, health care and miscellaneous goods and services. It does
not include the effects of state and local taxes. The information is updated
quarterly.

CareerJournal.com, only 34 % had attempted to negotiate their relocation
costs, whereas 56% of the human-resource professionals interviewed said
